ok, more. i'm introducing myself here, i guess, eh? anyway, this is me:
i'm pakistani-american. i came to the united states when i was eight. houston is where my family settled. i have two sisters who i adore more than anything else in this world, a brother, a philosophical father, and an enticing/bizarre mother. i am the youngest which means that i am constantly searching for acceptance from people. it also means i am used to a lot of affection. i have a lot of hopes and dreams, some of which include travel and being successful. my definition of successful means this: loving what you do, being content with yourself (who you are and what you believe in) and having quality people in which you share your life with. i'm working on being content with myself and loving what i do. i am in this program to become an English teacher with Houston Independent School District. i haven't gotten a job yet, but it's in the works. i am taking classes at a local private college, and i have my own little place in the Heights (the best place to live in Houston).
i just got a cat whom i named Noora (which means "light" in arabic). she's been adjusting to her new environment lately. she scared the crap out of me cause i couldn't find her for a while. turns out she was hiding inside the oven. she's a little smarty pants (like her mother--haha). forgot to tell you also--i can be a little vain at times.
i'll talk more later.
